What Is Equine Assisted Therapy?

Equine Assisted Therapy, or EAT, is a treatment strategy used by physical, occupational, and speech pathologists that utilizes the dynamic movement of the horse to help meet therapy goals. This type of treatment is effective because the gentle, rhythmic movement of the horse simulates human walking, offering a unique therapeutic benefit that's difficult to replicate in a traditional clinical setting.

Camp Able does not currently offer Equine Assisted Therapy services. To register once available, a prescription signed by a physician will be required.

We are actively seeking Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists interested in becoming registered therapists through PATH International.
